The Center for Media Production and Training at the Faculty of Da'wah and Information organized a training course on forms and methods of media editing at Al-Shuhadaa Hall. The six hour-course targeted female-students at the different departments of the faculty. The course was attended by Dr. Abu Baker Mohamed Al Hassan, Director of Media Production and Training Center, Dr. Mahjoub Mohamed Ahmed, Director of Sawt Al-Mathani Radio and a number of teaching staff members and media professionals.
The course aimed at introducing the concept of media editing and its importance in the field of media studies and their various disciplines, explaining the basics and rules of media editing and identifying its forms and methods, besides identifying the drafting and editing templates used in preparation of media messages. The course also included a number of important themes including forms and methods and steps of media editing, manner of using templates of forming and editing media messages manner of writing and editing press, radio and television news. The course was presented by Dr. Al-Najeeb Adam Qamar-Addeen a well-known media expert and trainer.
The Director of the Center for Media Production and Training confirmed that the center's doors are open for students' training and providing them with all the aids that would help in media training. He further called for joint efforts and cooperation with media institutions and agencies to promote media training for the service of the university and its mission.
